Sean “Diddy” Combs has put his Beverly Hills mansion on the market for $61 million, Page Six has exclusively learned.
There had previously been rumors that the hip-hop mogul had quietly put the luxury property up for sale, but today it was officially put on the market.
A source close to the “I'll Be Missing You” rapper said the sale “is not a surprise to anyone involved, despite recent controversy surrounding the hip-hop mogul.”
They allege Combs had already been planning to sell the house. The home was searched in March as part of a Homeland Security investigation, but Combs has not been charged with any crimes.
The property is said to be located in Los Angeles' highly sought-after so-called Platinum Triangle, which includes the upscale neighborhoods of Holmby Hills, Beverly Hills and Bel Air.
We've heard the property will be listed on the real estate industry's Multiple Listing Service.
The home is located in an area known as “Billionaire's Row,” whose neighbors include Kylie Jenner, tech moguls Evan Spiegel and Sean Parker, music moguls Irving Azoff and Jimmy Iovine, fashion heir Alexandra von Furstenberg, and the legendary Playboy Mansion.
Diddy purchased the property 10 years ago for $40 million.
The massive two-story mansion sits on 1.3 acres and offers 13,000 square feet of living space.
According to the description, “A spectacular flagstone driveway leads to a fully renovated estate featuring classic European design elements. The property boasts a gorgeous paneled foyer with a sweeping staircase bathed in natural light and features a large living room, formal dining room, wine cellar, office, family room and gourmet kitchen with separate catering kitchen.”
There's also a “state-of-the-art theatre that seats 35 people” and a “two-storey guest house” with a “large gym, recording studio and additional guest bedrooms.”
Outside, there are “spacious lawns, mature trees and formal gardens” and a “resort-like pool with waterfall and grotto, basketball court, spa house and outdoor Loggia It has a BBQ, a bar and a pizza oven.
“Combs established her primary residence on Miami's Star Island several years ago. Now that her children are grown and independent, she has decided to sell the property, which marks a major milestone in the Los Angeles real estate industry,” a source said.
The rapper has been spending most of his time in Florida since being the subject of a number of lawsuits, which he denies.
