The Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys topped the list of the NFL's 32 teams for the “rudest fans,” which includes infractions such as starting fights, excessive boasting and drinking too much.
The list was compiled in August by online gambling site aGamble. asked A survey of 1,200 football watchers across the country will compile a list of the “worst behaved” fans, coaches and quarterbacks.
In addition to the Eagles having the most aggressive fans, the survey also revealed that Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni was voted the third-rudest coach in the NFL, beating out Denver Broncos' Sean Payton (1st) and Jim Harbaugh (2nd) for the title of rudest NFL coach.

In the top five list of most rude quarterbacks, Aaron Rodgers of the New York Jets took the top spot, followed by Deshaun Watson of the Cleveland Browns (2nd) and Dak Prescott of the Cowboys (3rd). Not only was Rodgers ranked as the rudest quarterback in the league, but ironically, he was also voted the “most neurotic” quarterback among team captains. Following Rodgers as the most neurotic quarterback were Patrick Mahomes of the Chiefs (2nd) and Dak Prescott of the Cowboys (3rd). Prescott has the distinction of appearing on both the “rudest” and “neurotic” quarterback lists.

The poll for the rudest fans also listed each team's worst behaviors. The poll marked 13 teams with “excessive drinking” as the most prevalent rude behavior on the list, including the Las Vegas Raiders (3rd), New England Patriots (4th), and Green Bay Packers (6th).
Steelers Depot Posts The rankings place Pittsburgh Steelers fans at number 5 on the list of most rude fans due to their use of “profane language.”
When asked to name bad fan behaviors, some or all of which occurred “at the same time,” survey respondents said “standing up/blocking the view” was the worst with 59 percent. “Spillin' beer/drinks” came in second with 51 percent, and “cutting in line” came in third with 48 percent. Other rude fan behaviors included:
- Using vulgar language (45 percent)
- Blocking an aisle (44 percent)
- Heckling (42 percent)
- Crying children (36%)
- Squatting/finding a better seat (34 percent)
- Getting up or leaving your seat frequently (26 percent)
- Talking on the phone (24 percent)
The poll also looked at the top five NFL teams with the most “nervous” fans, with Cowboys fans ranked first as the “angriest” team, followed by fans of the Patriots (second), Kansas City Chiefs (third), Eagles (fourth) and Chicago Bears (fifth).
The poll was conducted in August among 1,200 participants who were “regular NFL viewers” with an average age of 42, with 57 percent male, 42 percent female and 1 percent other.

Following the post-game celebration following the Chiefs' 2023 Super Bowl victory, fans wrote letters to the Chiefs expressing their dissatisfaction. Kansas City Star “It's embarrassing that the players we support can barely walk after getting off the bus,” one fan said of seeing the team drinking and partying in public.
