Jannik Sinner kisses Anna Kalinskaya at US Open after Nick Kyrgios comment
Jannik Sinner sealed his US Open victory with a kiss, and many are vying to throw that special moment in Nick Kyrgios' face.
The world number one beat American Taylor Fritz in straight sets to become the first Italian man to win a Grand Slam title in tennis's Open era.
Sinner's victory was shrouded in controversy as he competed just weeks after his doping violation was made public.
Last month it was confirmed that Sinner had been allowed to carry on playing despite having tested positive twice for banned substances earlier this year.
Kyrgios has been Sinner's most vocal critic and has called for him to be given a doping suspension.
The situation erupted on Saturday when Kyrgios was seen to make “misogynistic” comments about Sinner's girlfriend, Anna Kalinskaya.

The Russian and Kyrgios were in a relationship until they ended it in 2020.
Kalinskaya, ranked 15th in the WTA world rankings, began dating Sinner earlier this year and was spotted in his box at recent U.S. Open matches.
In a series of tweet exchanges with Sinner's fans, one X-user tagged Kyrgios in a photo of a 29-year-old Kyrgios and Kalinskaya at an NBA game four years ago.

“Second serve,” Kyrgios replied.
Kyrgios did not elaborate on his comments and has since deleted the tweet, but many were outraged, describing the comments as “nasty” and “misogynistic”.
That's why when Sinner celebrated winning the tournament, his world number one ranking and his $3.6 million prize money by kissing Kalinskaya, it led to many people mocking the Australian.

Kalinskaya, who was sitting in Sinner's box, was greeted with warm group hugs and kisses from the rest of the team.
Sinner's fans criticised Kyrgios, who is injured and out of the tournament working as a commentator for ESPN, and suggested the Australian would be jealous of Sinner's moment of enjoyment at Arthur Ashe Stadium.
Many others shared their joy at seeing Kalinskaya and Sinner enjoying a special moment together after such a tumultuous 48 hours.
The celebrations were noticeably subdued as Sinner finally reached the supporters' section after a long walk, directed by security guards.
Sinner raised his hands in respect for his American opponent but showed little emotion after shaking hands with Fritz.
“This title means a lot,” Sinner said after arriving in New York under the clouds. “The last part of my career wasn't easy, but my team and my family supported me.

“I love tennis but there is life off the court too. I would like to dedicate this trophy to my aunt, who is not in good health and I don't know how much longer she will be in my life. She was and still is a very important part of my life and I am happy to share this with her.”
Fritz, ranked 12th in the world, was bidding to become the first American to win a major tournament since Andy Roddick in New York in 2003.
He was cheered on by a host of A-list celebrities in a crowd of 23,000 at Arthur Ashe Stadium.

Pop queen Taylor Swift was in attendance with her boyfriend, NFL star Travis Kelce, and it was hard to miss Oscar-winning actor Matthew McConaughey sporting an American flag headband.
Fritz appeared devastated after congratulating Sinner online, slumped in his chair and put his head in his lap as Sinner thanked the crowd.
Fritz needed a moment to compose himself during the on-court interview after the match and the trophy ceremony.

“I can't believe I'm going to be playing in the U.S. Open as an American,” he said.
“I've felt the love all week. Thank you so much. I've been waiting for a championship for a long time and I'm disappointed I didn't achieve it this time, but I'll keep working hard and hopefully I'll achieve it next time.”
Meanwhile, ESPN is under pressure to drop Kyrgios from its tennis commentary team going forward.
There were calls on Sunday for Kyrgios to be removed from the television broadcast, but the Australian still appeared.
