Imane Khelif blames Elon Musk for ‘hate campaign’

Controversial boxer Imane Khelif has spoken out after winning Olympic gold, condemning the hate campaign launched by SpaceX owner Elon Musk.

Kherif sparked a worldwide backlash when he competed against and defeated women at the Olympics, despite both boxing governing bodies claiming he was in fact a man.

The International Boxing Association (IBA) disqualified Kherif from the 2023 World Championships, after IBA president Umar Kremlev said at the time that Kherif has “XY chromosomes.”

Less than a week after the Olympic controversy began, the World Boxing Organization's European vice president said Kherif was one of several athletes in the women's division who had been identified as male.

“You were cruel to me, to my family, to my mother.”

Despite the claims of the IBA and WBO, Kherif never lost a round at the Paris Olympics, easily defeating the women and winning the gold medal.

Khelif recently He told French television “The Clique” alleged that Musk sparked a hateful online campaign.

“Elon Musk was one of the first to attack me in this hate campaign,” Khelife said. New York Post.

“He posted this video, it was retweeted, so he was one of the first to spread this rumour, this campaign against me,” the boxer continued. “You hate me, but you don't know me. I don't even know why you led this attack. You were cruel to me, to my family, to my mother. My mother was in the hospital every day at the time.”

“The behavior of people today is incomprehensible,” Khelif added.

Khelif had previously targeted Musk alongside author J.K. Rowling and former President Donald Trump in his criminal complaint for alleged hate speech in France.

The complaint was submitted to the Paris Cell for the Combat of Online Hate Speech, with Khelif claiming to be the victim of cyber harassment. Both Rowling and Musk are named in the complaint for “alleged acts of abusive cyber harassment.”

Musk had publicly agreed with former NCAA swimmer Riley Gaines in a post he wrote about the topic. X “Men don't belong in women's sports,” she said of Khelif, to which the owner of X simply replied, “That's true.”

“I am a Muslim Arab woman. I have survived this moment.”

Khelif's lawyer also said Trump would participate in the investigation.

“Because Mr. Trump tweeted, he will inevitably be investigated as part of the prosecution, whether or not he is named in our case,” the lawyer said.

In a clear insult, President Trump responded to Khelif's first Olympic victory by saying, “I will take men out of women's sports!”

“God is my guide. I am a Muslim woman. I am a Muslim Arab woman and I have overcome this moment,” the boxer continued in a recent interview.

Kheriff also hinted at a return to the boxing ring, promising to “come back even stronger”.
