20,000 Haitians overwhelm Ohio city — residents report slaughtered and eaten animals, increases in traffic accidents

Residents of Springfield, Ohio, are warning that a growing Haitian population is straining city resources and causing an increase in traffic accidents.

Residents claimed that neighbourhood dogs and ducks and geese in local parks were also being killed.

My husband is elderly, and after living in this house for 45 years, he said last night it's time to pack up and move. He said he can't do it anymore, and that we're both mentally exhausted.”

“I don't understand what they expect from us as a people,” she continued. “I mean, [Haitians] “We are here under temporary protected status. You are protecting them. I understand that city services are overwhelmed and understaffed. But who will protect us? If we are protecting them, who will protect me? I want out of this town. I'm sorry. Please give me a reason to stay.”
