During CNN's coverage of Tuesday's presidential debate, political commentator Van Jones said Vice President Kamala Harris “defeated” former President Donald Trump.
Jones said, “She beat him. She just beat him. Well, good fiction has a kind of wish-fulfillment, and like you watch a movie because you want something to happen, like a great romance, people want to see someone punish this bully, and people have watched candidate after candidate fail to punish him. She got up there and she punished him. She lured him in, and then she smacked him. She lured him in, and then she smacked him. And not only did she pass the commander-in-chief test, but he failed. He failed. Would you want this guy to take on a dictator when you could literally lure him in? I mean, you see the punch coming and you can't dodge it.”
He added, “She came back time and time again to her middle-class background. He was just talking about himself. He stepped into every hole he could think of. Kamala Harris has done something amazing for every parent in America. She's put the bullies in their rightful place.”
