Two Ladies Show Up To Work. Former Co-Worker Allegedly Sets Them On Fire While They’re Inside Car

A man is suspected of setting two Detroit women on fire while they were inside a vehicle Monday morning.

The women were taken to Detroit Reception Hospital after the attack with burns to their shoulders, neck, face and torso, according to Detroit Fire Department Fire Investigations Chief Dennis Richardson (WXYZ Detroit). Reported.

The suspect suffered “minor injuries” and was taken to hospital, the media reported.

The attack reportedly happened just after 6am when the women arrived at work.

Richardson told Detroit media that the suspect poured gasoline over the car from outside and then set it on fire. (Related: Violent crime creates 'dystopian hellscape' despite Biden's claims of safer America)

One witness, Thomas Saldana, said the suspect was a former co-worker and that two others held him down until police arrived on the scene.

“I heard some woman screaming… I saw her car on fire,” Saldana said. [the suspect] The officer said they “got him off the bike” and two other officers apprehended the suspect.

“It was unnecessarily violent and brutal,” Richardson said. “I think the residents of this city are sick and tired of this type of behavior, and I am too.”
