Foo Fighters Frontman Dave Grohl Admits Having a Baby ‘Born Outside My Marriage’

Just weeks after President Donald Trump's campaign was heavily criticized for using Foo Fighters songs, frontman Dave Grohl announced that he had “recently become the father of a baby born out of wedlock.”

“I recently became a father to a daughter born out of wedlock,” Grohl revealed in a statement posted to his Instagram account on Tuesday.

“I intend to be a loving and supportive parent to her,” the Foo Fighters frontman, 55, added.

Grohl continued, “I love my wife and children and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.”

“I appreciate your consideration for all of the children involved as we move forward together,” the former Nirvana drummer concluded in his statement.

Last month, as Grohl was preparing to likely give birth to a child out of wedlock, his band, the Foo Fighters, made it a priority to condemn former President Trump after Democrat-turned-independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. took the stage at a rally in Glendale, Arizona, to perform their 1997 hit, “My Hero.”

“The Foo Fighters were not asked for permission and, even if they had been asked, they would not have granted it,” a spokesman for the band said. said The band released a statement to Billboard at the time, and later warned the Trump campaign that they would take “appropriate action.”

A spokesman said all royalties from the use of the song will be donated to the Harris/Waltz campaign.

However, Trump had the right to play the Foo Fighters' song at his Glendale rally because his campaign argued that the Foo Fighters had licensed the song through BMI's SongView service.

Notably, the Trump campaign fired back at the band after they claimed the band did not have permission to play their songs at the 45th President's rally.

Trump campaign spokesman Steven Chang used lyrics from the Foo Fighters song “Times Like These” to criticize the band in a post by X on Monday.

“Now is the time when facts matter. Don't be a hypocrite. @foofighters,” Chan wrote.
