Microsoft’s 365 service was down after users reported outages

Microsoft said it was experiencing technical issues with its 365 subscription service after users reported outages early Thursday morning.

“We are investigating an issue where users may be unable to access multiple Microsoft 365 services,” the company wrote on its X account Thursday morning.

“For more information and future updates, please search MO888473 in the Administration Center.”

Downdetector, a website that monitors outages, Over 22,800 users A Microsoft 365 user said they've had issues accessing the service within the last 24 hours.

As of 10:30 a.m. ET, the number of reported outages had fallen to fewer than 2,000.

Microsoft issued an update on social media, reporting that the issue was “affected due to a change within the controlled environment of a third-party ISP (Internet Service Provider).”

The company added that IPS has “reverted the changes and is now seeing signs of recovery.”
