The Knicks' new radio voice will be coming from the Red Sox.
Tyler Murray, a 34-year-old “lifelong Knicks fan,” will replace Ed Cohen as the regular play-by-play announcer for ESPN New York Radio next season, MSG Networks announced Thursday afternoon.
The Connecticut native currently fills in for Will Fleming as the radio play-by-play announcer for Red Sox games.
Murray is also the lead announcer for the Triple-A Worcester Red Sox and has experience broadcasting college basketball and hockey.
Monica McNutt, a regular on television, returns for her second season as the lead analyst for ESPN New York's Knicks broadcasts, which recently changed frequency from 98.7 FM to 880 AM.
Cohen served as the play-by-play announcer from 2017 until last season, but took a break from broadcasting due to voice-related health issues.
Pat O'Keefe filled in admirably and the Knicks enjoyed their best season in over a decade, winning 50 games as the No. 2 seed in the East and reaching Game 7 of the second round.
With the addition of O'Keefe, Murray becomes the Knicks' fifth radio play-by-play announcer since 2011, joining Spero Dedes, Mike Crispino and Cohen.

“As a lifelong Knicks fan, it has always been a dream of mine to call their games,” Murray said in a press release. “There's nothing like the city, the Garden, the fans and Knicks basketball. I am truly honored to join MSG Networks and excited to help continue the great standard of Knicks coverage on ESPN Radio.”
