‘Stop Talking’ About Taylor Swift

Whoopi Goldberg told her co-stars on ABC's “The View” on Thursday that Republican vice presidential nominee J.D. Vance “should stop talking” about pop star Taylor Swift's endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris.

“Apparently, this pissed off a lot of snowflakes. Republicans are not happy about Taylor Swift endorsing Harris, as is vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance,” Goldberg said.

Speaking on Fox News on Wednesday, Vance said, “We admire Taylor Swift's music, but whether you like her music or are a fan of her or not, I don't believe that most Americans are affected by a billionaire celebrity. I think this celebrity is fundamentally out of touch with the concerns and issues of most Americans. When grocery prices go up 20 percent, it hits most Americans. It doesn't hit Taylor Swift. When housing prices become unaffordable, it doesn't hit Taylor Swift or any other billionaire.”

“You don't know what affects her. You don't know what affects her money. What are you talking about? Shut up, JD,” Goldberg said.

She added: “Sorry, that was very rude. Let's not talk again, JD.”

After the commercial break, Goldberg said, “The reason I apologize is because I hate it when people, critics, tell me to shut up. So that's not a nice thing to say. So I take it back, but that means silence.”
