Justice Timberlake expected to take plea deal in Hamptoms court appearance Friday

Justin Timberlake is scheduled to appear in a Hamptons courtroom on Friday to accept a plea deal that will see him avoid a drunk driving charge.

Timberlake, 43, is scheduled to appear Friday before Judge Carl Eileis in Sag Harbor Village Court to plead guilty to only a traffic violation.

The “Mirrors” singer is expected to plead guilty to driving while impaired during his arrest in Sag Harbor in June.

Because driving while “intoxicated” in this manner does not constitute a DUI offense, Timberlake will likely face a fine of $300 to $500 and a 90-day license suspension. TMZ First reported Plea bargain.

Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney He told Page Six He said Thursday that the pop star was not receiving special treatment and argued that similar plea deals “are being made in a lot of cases.”

“But we certainly don't want to treat people worse for the same reasons, so we're working to treat this case the same as any other similar case,” he said.

This marks Timberlake's second court appearance since appearing on a DUI charge.

It was previously revealed that the “Sexy Back” singer was arrested in Sag Harbor in June and was charged with drunk driving after running a stop sign near the American Hotel and refusing to take a breathalyzer.

Although Timberlake claimed he had only had “one martini” with friends, police said that at the time of his arrest he had failed field sobriety tests, showed numerous signs of intoxication and his eyes were “bloodshot and hollow.”

Police reports said he had poor balance and showed signs of not being able to follow commands.

During his June arrest, authorities also found Timberlake in possession of an expensive watch, a vape pen and more than $300 in cash.

The former NSYNC member pleaded not guilty during a virtual court appearance in August, and Judge Carl Eileis also suspended Timberlake's driver's license.

Timberlake and his lawyer, Edward Burke Jr., repeatedly denied that Timberlake was intoxicated at the time of his arrest during an August court appearance, but Timberlake did not attend due to world tour commitments.

The incident spawned numerous memes on social media after the young officer who stopped Timberlake allegedly did not recognize the pop star.

Fans who attended Timberlake's concerts shortly after his arrest also defended the pop star's honor, saying “we forgive you!” at his final concert in New York in June.

Burke's office told The Washington Post that his lawyers “cannot comment at this time” on a possible deal at today's hearing.
