A small-town bakery in a key battleground state is using cookies to add some extra sweetness and competitive spirit to the upcoming presidential election.
Rochelle's Bakery in Hatboro, Pennsylvania, is tracking sales of red Trump cookies and blue Harris cookies as customers across the country place orders to show their support for the candidates.
As of Friday morning, the store had sold a whopping 5,200 Trump cookies compared to 500 Harris cookies.
“I think people all over the world support Trump,” owner Kathleen Rochelle told “Fox & Friends First” on Friday morning.
Rochelle said her customers have been complaining about how higher costs under the Biden-Harris administration are affecting them.
“Right now, a lot of people are unhappy with the rising prices and are venting their frustrations on us,” she said, adding that the bakery remains neutral towards everyone and loves all its customers regardless of their political views.
The cost of groceries is also putting a strain on store operations.

““For us, the prices are very high,” Rochelle says. “We haven't increased the prices of almost any item for three years. We're trying to maintain our prices and gain consumer trust, but the prices are now so high that my husband says he can't continue.”
Rochelle credits the cookie contest with saving the bakery during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic.
“When the pandemic hit in 2020, we were in a situation of, 'Are we going to close the bakery? What's going to happen?' So I got my employees together and we agreed to make cookies again.”
“Without these red and blue cookies, we wouldn't be here today from Cookie 2020.”
She added that Eric Trump's “unexpected” visit to the store to buy cookies has also helped her business survive during the pandemic.
“The Trump name actually brings a lot of business to a lot of people,” she said.

A third of the cookies are shipped to other states, and the rest stay in the Keystone State, with Rochell saying that shipments within battleground states are almost all red.
“We're only shipping seven blue packages in Pennsylvania,” she said.
Rochelle hosted the informal poll. According to Fox 29 reports, they have predicted the outcome of three of the last four elections since 2012. In 2020, Trump's streak was snapped when 31,804 cookies were sold to Biden's 5,750.
The bakery has repeatedly emphasized the lighthearted nature of the project, writing in a recent social media post: “Keep calm…it's just cookies.”
