Kelly Clarkson says ‘it’s not hard to be vulnerable’ except when discussing one thing

Kelly Clarkson has never shied away from expressing her true self.

In a new interview, the Grammy Award-winning artist and talk show host spoke about sharing her vulnerability with others and how she navigates boundaries when talking about heartbreak.

“For me, it's not hard to show vulnerability as a person,” said Clarkson, whose divorce from ex-husband Brandon Blackstock was finalized in 2022. E! News “But when it comes to other people's lives, it's hard. You have to navigate that line of, 'Wait a second, is that OK?' and 'Can I talk about this about my child?'”

“Like with my breakup, there are things I talk about and things I don't talk about,” Clarkson added. “It's not that I don't like talking about it, I just don't talk about it when other people are involved. [about] How do we protect that boundary?

The two have been battling over custody and business interests ever since.

Clarkson was awarded physical custody of the two children, and the two will share legal custody. A judge later ordered Clarkson to pay Blackstock approximately $200,000 per month in spousal support and child support.

The former couple dated for two years Montana Ranch Ownership The two once co-owned a ranch. In 2021, Clarkson lost a lawsuit to evict Blackstock from the ranch after Blackstock refused to leave. The dispute was settled in January 2022, with a judge ordering Clarkson to transfer a 5.12% stake in the ranch to Blackstock, worth $908,800 of the ranch's total value of $17.75 million.

Because her personal legal battles and heartache have been so widely publicized, she feels she can connect with more people on a deeper level.

Kelly Clarkson's weight loss was triggered by pre-diabetes: “I was a little overweight.

“I feel like I'm normal,” she told E!. “I think that's what people are attracted to. I'm not that different from other people that you know.”

“We're all similar,” she added. “There's a part of us that loves to show off our talents and what we're good at, but there's also a part of us that loves to listen and learn. There's also a part of us that wants to be more comedic and light-hearted.”
