your Fantasy Baseball The championship is at hand.
The battles are intense and every move and stat of a player is crucial.
At this stage of the game, rate stats are hard to fix, so counting stats are likely your best bet.
And one area that can be manipulated with the right additions is the stolen base department.
Depending on where you rank in steals, adding a speedster or two could make the difference you need.
While they won't be able to acquire players like Jose Ramirez or Jazz Chisholm Jr., who both lead MLB in stolen bases with seven each over the past two weeks, there are plenty of contributors who could become waivers eligible this late in the season.
If you can add one or two to improve your ranking, we highly recommend this move.
Royals outfielder Dairon Blanco may not play every day, but he's quickly becoming the envy of those looking for reinforcements.
The 31-year-old is reminiscent of the Billy Hamilton era, as there aren't many players in fantasy who can thrive as a pinch-running specialist.
But Blanco has been a semi-regular and has five steals in his last six games, so he could provide a boost to the team at a bargain price.
If they need a player who can play more games and be a more all-around contributor, the Angels' Zach Neto and the Athletics' Zach Geroff are also widely available, according to rosters from Yahoo and ESPN.
Neto is batting .282 with a .417 on-base percentage over his last 12 games, scoring eight runs and stealing six bases.
Everything you need to know about MLB betting
Geroff is batting just .245 over his past 13 games but has four stolen bases, one home run, three RBI and six runs scored.
Other under-the-radar contributors in the stolen base department include the Marlins' Xavier Edwards and Jesus Sanchez, the Rangers' Travis Jankowski and Leody Taveras, as well as Reds outfielder Jake Fraley.
The name isn't pretty, but do you want beauty or a bargain?
