Players from both teams knelt, some in prayer, while officials dealt with the man.

The Ravens provided an update on the situation.

“A chain link member collapsed,” the team said. “He was immediately attended to by medical personnel. He was conscious and responsive when he left the scene. He is being transported to a local hospital.”

Ravens rookie Nate Wiggins has been ruled out of action against the Raiders, days after being involved in a car accident.

The NFL and its medical partners furthered CPR education after Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field and nearly died in the final weeks of the 2022 season.

“Being able to provide care in emergencies is important not just at sporting events but in all parts of life,” NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said in February 2023. “Our continued partnerships with the American Heart Association and the American Red Cross will ensure even more people are able to perform CPR and respond to emergencies.”
