A Brooklyn party featuring rapper and birthday boy Playboi Carti was canceled Saturday night after so many fans flooded the venue, leading to clashes with police.
The “All Red” singer, who turned 29 on Friday, took to Instagram to vent her frustration after a planned ticketed pop-up event at Brooklyn Warehouse in Crown Heights was canceled.
“NYPD shut me down. I was desperate to celebrate with y'all tonight. The music was gonna be amazing. I was outside the whole time. They said if I get out of my car I'll be locked up. It's my f**king relative's birthday. What the hell,” wrote the Atlanta native, who was born Jordan Terrell Carter.
Footage showed throngs of excited fans flocking outside the venue to meet the singer, flooding the 3,000-capacity venue.

In the video, fans can be seen becoming frustrated, with one yelling at the officers, “Hey! What the heck?”
An officer, clearly fed up with the over-enthusiastic fans, yelled: “Go home! Go home!”
In the comments section of the video, some fans claimed that security guards were not doing enough to keep the event under control.
“Security let in under 21s and people without tickets so people told their friends and over 10,000 people showed up. The venue is totally at fault,” wrote a fan.
