This cozy town just outside the ski capital of Aspen, Colorado, was voted one of the best places to visit in the fall. House BeautifulJust as the name suggests.
Snowmass Village is a quiet town in Pitkin County with a year-round population of 3,000. Like many of the towns near Aspen, it attracts many tourists in the winter and has its own winter resort.
But what makes this place so special in the fall are the views created by the region's dense trees and natural landscapes, from forests to valleys.
Located deep beneath the Rocky Mountains, the town is covered in red, orange and yellow trees that barely hide any greenery. In the fall, the amount of foliage is so abundant that Snowmass Village looks completely different from the winter landscape that many visitors see.
House Beauty points out that while the town's fall season is short, if you visit at the right time you'll be able to see the leaves slowly change color.

Even without winter activities, Snowmass Village continues to offer a variety of attractions for everyone, including hot springs, rivers, and numerous hiking trails across more than 3,000 acres of mountain ranges.
The town also offers activities for the adventurous, including four-wheel driving, ziplining and whitewater rafting.
Snowmass Village is also home to some of the best beer in the state, and there are plenty of taverns and pubs nearby.
Snowmass Village came in a modest 11th place on the House Beautiful rankings, beating out towns like Stowe, Vermont, and Bristol, Rhode Island.
