Diddy Arrested in New York City Following Grand Jury Indictment

Authorities arrested music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs in New York City on Monday on yet-to-be-specified charges following the results of a grand jury hearing.

The U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York confirmed that federal agents had arrested Combs.

Combs' lawyer, Mark Anifilo, said: TThe Hollywood Reporter Following his arrest, he claimed his client was the victim of “falsely prosecuted.”

“We are disappointed in the U.S. Attorney's Office's decision to pursue this unjustified prosecution against Mr. Combs,” said Combs' attorney, Mark Anifilo. Thursday“Sean Diddy Combs is a music icon, a self-made entrepreneur, a family man and a proven philanthropist who has built an empire over the past three decades, loves children and strives to uplift the Black community.”

“He is an imperfect man, but he is not a criminal. To his credit, Mr. Combs has cooperated fully with this investigation and voluntarily relocated to New York last week in anticipation of the charges. Please reserve judgment until all the facts are known. This is the act of an innocent man with nothing to hide, and he hopes to clear his name in court,” Anifilo continued.

In March, Homeland Security agents raided the music mogul's residence in connection with a sex trafficking investigation. The raid took place at the music mogul's Holmby Hills mansion. Diddy has denied all wrongdoing and, in a statement through his lawyer, said the raid was an “excessive use of military-level force.”

According to Tampa Bay TimesThe so-called “Freak Offs,” or “FOs,” took place in top hotels in Miami, Atlanta, New York, Las Vegas and Los Angeles in 2010. “The sex parties were extremely brutal, with young women and men lured in to be drugged, beaten and sometimes raped for hours, often leaving them vomiting or passing out,” the outlet described.

Combs allegedly filmed these “freak-offs” and “instructed staff to change the lighting and bedding to better present the women and men engaging in sexual acts.”

Diddy later apologized for security camera footage of him viciously beating ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in a hotel hallway in 2016.

In May, model Crystal McKinney filed a lawsuit against Combs, alleging that she was drugged and sexually assaulted 20 years ago.
