Former President Trump will host a town hall event in Flint, Michigan, on Tuesday, his first campaign event since the assassination attempt on him.
Trump will host a town hall-style event at Flint's Dort Financial Center on Tuesday night, where he will answer questions from the audience and focus his remarks on the auto industry and inflation.
The incident came just two days after President Trump survived a second assassination attempt while playing golf at Trump National Golf Club in Florida on Sunday.

Trump's Flint rally will be hosted by Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who is expected to play a larger role in the former president's campaign in the final stages of the election.
The event comes as both candidates scramble to solidify support ahead of November with 50 days to go until the election. Michigan is seen as a key state for both Trump and his rival, Vice President Harris, and is one of the battleground states most likely to tip the election in either candidate's favor.
Harris currently holds a slight lead over Trump in the state, with an average approval rating of 48.3% to Trump's 47.6%, according to a Real Clear Politics polling average.

However, current polls in Michigan are favoring Trump compared to 2016 and 2020. Trump was trailing Clinton by an average of 5.2 points in the state at this point in the 2016 election, and is trailing President Biden by 4.8 points at this point in 2020.
Trump won Michigan by less than 1 percentage point in 2016, but Biden beat Trump in the state by less than 3 percentage points in 2020.

Trump's Tuesday event won't be the campaign's only visit to Michigan this week: Harris is scheduled to host a “Unite for America” livestream event from Michigan with Oprah Winfrey on Thursday, while Trump's running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance of Ohio, is scheduled to hold an event in Sparta, Michigan, on Tuesday.
