Juventus have had one of the strangest starts to a football season ever seen.
Juventus have recorded two wins and two draws from their first four games, but a look at goal difference tells a completely different story: Juventus have scored six goals and only conceded zero, meaning they have already experienced two 0-0 draws and have a combined expected goals allowed (xGF + xGA) of 5.3 over the four games.
Thiago Motta's team is taking rowing events to a whole new level.
Let's see if Juventus can carry this identity into their Champions League opener against PSV Eindhoven on Tuesday.

Juventus vs PSV predictions
What makes Juventus' shaky start to the season even more intriguing is the fact that they suffered heavy defeats in their first two games.
United beat Como 3-0 on the opening day and then beat Hellas Veronas by the same score a week later.
However, they were held to a dull 0-0 draw against Roma and there was little excitement in their game against Empoli on Saturday.
Juventus have only expected 1.4 goals in their last two games, but have also conceded just 0.8, so they are arguably defending well in their own half.
Eindhoven, meanwhile, have had a very different start to the Eredivisie, a much weaker league than Serie A, but winning their first five games by an aggregate score of 20-3 is quite impressive.
Like many successful clubs in the Netherlands, Eindhoven want to bring speed, chaos and constant movement to the game, but that's not how Juventus want the game to play out.
This contrast in styles should make for a very interesting contest.
Thiago Motta's Juventus could emerge as Champions League favourites thanks to their defensive work, but their stagnant attack at the moment makes them hard to root for.

As for Eindhoven, they tick many of the boxes of a current Champions League underdog, but there is still room for improvement in the quality of the teams they have faced in the Eredivisie.
Add in the fact that a matchup of these styles – two very different philosophies meeting – often begins with a process of exploration, and you have all the ingredients for a very ugly first half of football.
