Ten months after Sean “Diddy” Combs' ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, accused him of rape and physical abuse, the rap mogul appeared before a federal judge in Manhattan on Tuesday to face broad charges of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy.
Here's how Combs, 54, is being held without bail based on an indictment that details nearly two decades of misdeeds.
November 16, 2023 — Combs' ex-girlfriend, Cassie, accuses him of abuse in lawsuit
Cassie, an R&B singer who was once signed to Combs' record label, Bay Boy Records, has filed a shocking lawsuit alleging that Combs raped and physically abused her for over a decade.
The singer, whose real name is Cassandra Ventura, alleges that Combs trafficked her, raped her and brutally assaulted her from 2005 to 2018, according to the lawsuit filed in Manhattan federal court.
The lawsuit, which was filed with an explicit “trigger warning,” alleges that Combs regularly gave her drugs and alcohol and forced her to engage in sex acts with male prostitutes, filming them as “freak-outs.”
According to the lawsuit, Cassie also alleges that Combs blew up rapper Kid Cudi's car after learning that Cudi was romantically interested in her.
Their relationship began shortly after they met in 2005, when she was 22 and he was nearly 40, and was on and off since.

According to the lawsuit, filed just before the Adult Survivors Act expired, Combs and Hall then invited the women to an afterparty at Hall's apartment, where the women were “coerced” into having sex with Combs.
