The jury is still out Chicago Bears Rookie quarterback Caleb Williams retired after just two games.
But there are some who strongly believe the young passer has a future in the NFL.

Stroud and the Texans welcomed Williams and the Bears. Sunday Night FootballThe Texans won the game, 19–13. Stroud completed 23 of 36 passes for 260 yards and a touchdown, while Williams completed 23 of 37 passes for 174 yards and an interception. The rookie was sacked seven times and is yet to throw a touchdown in two league games.
Still, when the two met at midfield after the game, Stroud praised the young quarterback: “You're going to be a great player in this league,” Stroud told his opponent. NFL Films:
Stroud also advised Williams to “stop taking hits” and to “learn from your mistakes.”
Protecting Williams in the pocket when it comes to those hits is a concern for the Bears. In addition to the seven sacks Sunday night, he was hit 11 times against the Texans and was pressured on all but one of his dropbacks.
