‘This Is a Crazy Person’

ABC late-night host Jimmy Kimmel mocked the reaction to the second assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, scoffing at the idea that would-be assassins might be inspired by Democrats' dire rhetoric about Trump's “end of democracy.”

“The Secret Service appears to have thwarted another attempt on his life, with the suspect holding an AK-47 outside Trump's golf course,” Kimmel said in his monologue. [and] Secret Service agents spotted him and opened fire.”

See below:

of Jimmy Kimmel Live! The host added that “they got hold of” a suspected “assassin,” Ryan Wesley Routh, whom Kimmel said “seems like a troubled individual.”

“His political views are all over the place. Earlier this year he tweeted that his ideal candidates were Nikki Haley and Vivek Ramaswamy. That just shows how crazy he is,” Kimmel said.

The late-night TV host mocked Trump. Point out President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have hurled violent rhetoric at him, which may have influenced Routh.

“Of course, Trump is criticizing Kamala Harris and President Biden,” Kimmel said, noting that Trump said:

They are attacking me with their rhetoric, when I am the one saving this country and they are destroying it. They use very inflammatory language, and I can use it much better than they can, but I don't.

“You're a calming presence,” Kimmel said sarcastically.

“This man has been knowingly spreading a complete lie for the last week about Haitian immigrants eating pets in Springfield, Ohio,” Kimmel added, denying Trump's claims.

But Kimmel did not acknowledge that Rouse issued an X-post earlier this year in which he wrote to Biden, “Democracy is on the ballot and we cannot lose. We cannot fail. The world is counting on us to show the way.”

Interestingly, this year's Democratic candidate, Harris, Posts He posted the exact same phrasing on social media as Routh, who had a Biden-Harris bumper sticker on his truck outside his home.

This revelation is far more noteworthy than a one-off comment about Haley and Ramaswamy, and if the tables were turned and it was a would-be assassin targeting Harris who used the same rhetoric as Trump, Kimmel would undoubtedly have mentioned it.

Kimmel continues in his monologue that Trump is a “crazy person” when it comes to Springfield.

“This guy is crazy. Two elementary schools were evacuated in Springfield today due to threats against children and he continues to do this. [comments about Springfield].”

But Kimmel's reference to Springfield, Ohio, plays directly into the agenda of foreign powers believed to be interfering in this year's election.

As Breitbart News reported, pressure is growing on the mainstream media to apologize to President Trump and his running mate, Senator J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), after Ohio Governor Mike DeWine (R) revealed that 33 “bomb threats” against a school in Springfield were “all hoaxes” that originated overseas.

September 15th was the second assassination attempt on President Trump in less than two months.

In a lengthy X post on Monday, Vance outlined the seriousness of the issue, noting that “violent rhetoric” has gotten “out of control” since “nearly killing Steve Scalise and many others a few years ago” and “nearly killing Donald Trump twice.”

Vance also pointed out the media's double standards when it comes to Springfield.

“After spending 30 seconds discussing the second assassination attempt on President Trump, [PBS] They then focused on the real danger, which is that they believe I and President Trump are responsible for the bomb threats against Springfield,” Vance said.

“Of course, I have repeatedly condemned those threats, and reports today suggest that those threats came from a foreign country and not from crazed Trump fans as the media has suggested,” Trump's running mate added.

Vance continued.

The double standard is astonishing. According to their explanation, Donald Trump and I are directly responsible for the foreign bomb threats. Why? Because we had the audacity to repeat what the residents said about the problems in our town. Meanwhile, the media is reporting claims that Trump should be shot, and Harris supporters are calling for his removal.

Consider Springfield. Residents say they have problems. This includes undeniable facts like rising traffic accidents, rising home prices, evictions, overcrowded hospitals, overworked schools, and rising disease. It also includes the infamous pet tale, which multiple people have spoken about (on video or to me or my staff).

Kamala Harris' first strategy was to ignore these people and their concerns. Yes, she stopped the deportation of millions of illegal immigrants, some of whom made it to Springfield. But it was a small town with no voice. Some local leaders preferred cheap labor. So the suffering of thousands of Americans was ignored.

They report on bomb threats but not the rise in murders. They report on threats but not the rise in HIV infections. They report on threats but not the schools overrun with non-English speaking freshmen. They report on threats but not the rise in insurance rates and the car accidents that cause them. They report on threats but not the failure of Kamala Harris' leadership.
