Martin County sheriff's deputies signed and donated the handcuffs used to arrest Ryan Wesley Routh, a suspect in the second assassination attempt on former President Trump.

The officers, along with Sheriff William Snyder and Chief Deputy Sheriff John Budensiek, met with Trump at Mar-a-Lago on Wednesday.
Routh was taken into custody after being stopped on Interstate 95 by FBI agents with an SKS-style gun. rThe incident occurred Sunday at Trump International Golf Club. State and local law enforcement are working to gather more information for the ongoing federal investigation.
Routh is currently charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession and receiving a firearm with an obliterated serial number. At a press conference on Tuesday, Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis said Routh would likely also face state charges.
