About 138,000 platform beds sold by major retailers like Amazon and Walmart are being recalled across the United States and Canada because they may tip over and pose a risk of falling and injury.
Utah-based importer CVB Corp. is recalling Lucid-brand platform beds with upholstered square-tufted headboards.

According to the CPSC, there have been 245 similar incidents in the United States, including 18 cases of related injuries, such as contusions and crush injuries.
There were 11 more reports of “bed malfunctions” in Canada, but no further injuries.
According to Lucid, recall The flaw affects discontinued versions of platform beds manufactured between 2019 and 2021, the company said.
Although production of the beds ended several years ago, the currently recalled beds are expected to continue to be sold at major retailers until April 2024, according to the CPSC.
Consumers may have purchased the beds from Amazon, Walmart and Lucid's websites, as well as from retailers including Bed Bath & Beyond, eBay, Home Depot, Macy's, Target.com and Wayfair.
About 137,000 of the recalled beds were sold in the United States and 890 were sold in Canada, according to the CPSC.
The beds are made in Malaysia and come in twin, full, queen, king and California king sizes and can be identified by the white legal label on the underside of the headboard, which should say “Manufactured by: CVB INC, 1525 W 2960 S, LOGAN, UT 84321” printed on it.
Anyone who owns one of the recalled beds is asked to immediately stop using it and contact Lucid to receive a free replacement frame.
