Caitlin Clark shows off unexpected new skill — baseball announcing

Caitlin Clark may already be trying out a second career.

As the Indiana Fever prepares for its first playoff series since 2016 and a high-profile matchup against the championship-favorite Connecticut Sun in the first round of the WNBA postseason, Clark has tried something new: baseball announcing.

On Wednesday, the Fever star and Rookie of the Year frontrunner appeared to be commentating on the Brewers-Phillies home game from his bedroom.

Teammate Lexie Hull pulled out her cell phone and recorded Clark “commenting on the game” from her room.

She even tried using an “announcer voice.”

“Runner on first, no outs… that's it… somebody's going to step up to bat,” Clark said.

That person was Brewers outfielder Garrett Mitchell.

She made a few more calls in the inning, even mentioning Phillies starting pitcher Aaron Nola's spikes, drawing a big laugh from Hull.

Clark couldn't keep a straight face either, laughing as he commentated on the match.

Clark appeared to tag the Phillies in the comments section after Hull's video was posted. Ask her if you'd hire her.

Clark and the Fever, making their first playoff appearance as professionals, will face a big test against the Sun, who boast the league's best defense.

The best-of-three series begins this Sunday at 3pm ET on ABC.
