CNN anchor Alisyn Camerota announced that her husband of 23 years has died after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

“I have some very sad personal news to share with you,” she began her heartbreaking Instagram post on Friday. With a photo of the couple On your wedding day.

The journalist revealed that her “beloved” and “wonderful” husband, Tim Lewis, passed away on July 27, aged 58, after a two-year battle with stage four pancreatic cancer.

“I can't imagine anyone who has weathered a devastating diagnosis with more humor, humility and courage than Tim,” she continued. “He was an incredible father, husband, friend and role model, and we strive to follow in his footsteps.”

Camerota, also 58, wrote that she and the couple's three teenage children are “still trying to find their place” in the wake of the loss.

“Tim has given us a lot of strength and stability and we are determined to emulate those qualities,” the political commentator added.

Lewis is originally from Kansas City, Missouri and has worked in private equity and business consulting, where he was a partner at Southfield Capital for nearly 10 years.
