‘Focus on All of the Things We’ve Done’ Versus Kamala Harris

Former President Donald Trump urged Virginia voters to focus on “all the things” his administration accomplished, rather than “how bad” Vice President Kamala Harris was at “running the country.”

Speaking at a televised rally with Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin (R-Va.) on Sunday, Trump said Republicans had a “very good chance” to win the state, noting that the state “has not been won by a Republican presidential candidate in decades.”

The last time a Republican won Virginia was under former President George W. Bush. Winner He won the state in the 2004 presidential election.

“We have a good chance to win Virginia. No presidential candidate has won there in decades,” Trump said. “And we have a good chance, and the reason is, number one, my record, and number two, what a terrible job they've done at running this country.”

A recent poll from the University of Washington's Center for Leadership and Media Studies found that President Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris have the same approval rating among registered voters in Virginia, but Harris has a slight lead over President Trump among the electorate.

Trump pointed to the Biden administration's failure to withdraw troops from Afghanistan, saying 13 U.S. troops have been killed as a result.

“Just think about Afghanistan. The most embarrassing day in the history of our country,” Trump added. “So if you could just go out there and look at everything we've done and everything they've done.”
