A stray bug was found roaming around in a return box at a Michigan library over the weekend, causing chaos.
The Royal Oak Public Library announced the incident in a Facebook post on Saturday, saying the library was forced to close temporarily to deal with the insects found at a book drop.
“The insects were discovered when the DVD case was opened and insects flew out,” the library explained. “It appears to be multiple types of insects, but we're not sure.”
“The DVDs were returned after the store closed on Friday and before it opened on Saturday, so anything prior to that time should not have been affected.”

On Monday morning, the library announced that it would officially reopen later that afternoon, revealing what kind of bug had made its way into the book drop.
“Our exterminators have inspected all returned items, the book drop and the building,” the Facebook post said. “No insects were found.”
“The photos we shared showed it was a cockroach.”
The Royal Oak Public Library said the library grounds have been thoroughly inspected and patrons should not have to worry about future pest concerns.
