During Tuesday's broadcast of Fox News Channel's “Special Report,” Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pennsylvania) supported a call by Vice President and 2024 Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris to abolish the abortion filibuster, saying that while there are not currently the votes to do so, “I think the feeling, more than anything, is that we're on the side of abortion and the other side is on a different side. [kind] of opinion.”
Fetterman said: [relevant remarks begin around 6:50] “First of all, I egg Never [had] I happen to agree. eggAnd I don't think I can remember [a time] We have to find a way to give back the rights that have been taken from American women for 50 years. So, with the current conservative majority on the Supreme Court, it seems to me like that's the only way. But I know we don't have the votes right now. But most of all, we're on the side of abortion, and the other side is not. [kind] It's a difference of opinion. And I think that's where we are right now.”
