As of now, every WNBA team except the Indiana Fever has at least one player participating in Unrivaled this summer. However, with eight spots remaining, it's entirely possible that a Fever player could be added to the list. Indiana's three All-Stars, Caitlin Clark, Kelsey Mitchell and Aaliyah Boston, are all at the top of the list of potential players.
Napheesa Collier previously said the league would include a total of four rookies, two of whom, Angel Reese and Rikea Jackson, have already been announced.
It's possible that Clarke could be one of those two newcomers, though she has previously avoided answering the question.
“To be honest, that's all I'm focused on right now.” she told reporters. At practice last month. “One thing at a time. I can't always move on to the next. My focus is here.”
Avid players have expressed their excitement to be a part of this innovative league, with Marina Mabry previously telling SB Nation she's excited to be able to stay in the U.S. during the offseason instead of traveling overseas, and Reese saying he's excited about the opportunity to be a part-owner from the get-go.
“I'm just lucky [Stewie] “She considered me one of the top players in the league and invited me along with Fee,” Gray said after the Dream Team's loss to Liberty on Tuesday night. By Miles Ehrlich.
The games will be played on a condensed half-court format, three times a week for eight weeks, and game lengths will be the same as “regular basketball,” Collier previously confirmed, suggesting the game will likely be 40 minutes long, like WNBA games.
