“I'm not making a cheesy, silly religious movie like 'Left Behind 5,'” he added. “This is going to be good.”
Earlier this year, Hauser and his wife, Amy, spoke about their Christian faith in a series of videos for I Am Second. They say Jesus saved their marriage after Paul became addicted to alcohol and marijuana.
“I'm very grateful for where I am right now and I have the mindset that there's nothing more fun than spending time with my family,” he said in the “I Am Second” video.
He said he and other men are involved in accountability groups.
“I think my relationship with God has gotten better and more authentic,” he said in the video. “I think I have a responsibility in God's economy to own the truth, to show up, to own my shortcomings, but at the same time, I'm celebrating what God is doing in my life and walking in line with what He wants me to do, not just what I want to do.”
“… The truth is that you are a beloved child of God, created with purpose,” Hauser said, “and He looks lovingly upon you. … You were so precious to God that He sacrificed His own flesh, blood and soul on earth in the person of Jesus.”
