Tempers flare between Caitlin Clark, DeWanna Bonner in intense Game 2 matchup

Emotions flared early in the first half of Game 2 of the first-round series between the Indiana Fever and the Connecticut Sun on Wednesday, when player Kaitlyn Clark nearly got into an altercation with veteran player DeWanna Bonner over a missed call.

Clark's emotions were on full display in the first quarter, when a missed call on a potential landing zone foul on Bonner appeared to anger the star rookie.

Clark tried to make a 3-pointer about three minutes into the game, but when he returned he felt he was fouled by Bonner and was taken to the ground. Clark tried to argue toward the sideline, but Bonner interjected, and Clark shoved the veteran back.

The exchange ended as quickly as it began, but the pair appeared to exchange words again before Clark left the field late on in the second half.
