Tsunami of ‘Open and Aggressive’ Antisemitism Swamping Germany

A hostile wave of “openly aggressive” anti-Semitism is sweeping through Germany, with government officials saying its anti-Semitism has steadily increased since Hamas terrorists attacked Israel on October 7 last year. It warns that the number of people living in Japan is increasing.

“Since October 7th, we have experienced a tsunami of anti-Semitism.” Federal Government Anti-Semitism Commissioner Felix Klein; said in an interview with AFP news agency. reported Written by Werth.

The deadly attack by Hamas “further shattered the existing dam regarding anti-Semitism in our society,” he added.

This is reflected in police crime statistics for 2023, which show around 5,000 anti-Semitic crimes, half of which were committed after October 7, all due to the still-increasing number of migrants entering the country. The report points out that this is happening in response to the current situation.

Klein went on to draw a historical comparison between today's Germany and the Germany at the end of World War II, when Adolf Hitler's power was beginning to decline but much of Nazi ideology remained.

Klein noted that all forms of openly aggressive anti-Semitism in Germany and around the world are “more powerful than ever since 1945.”

According to Klein, this “record amount” reflects a disturbing absurdity. Despite the fact that on October 7th “more Jews were murdered than at any time since the Shoah” and despite the efforts of Jews to protect themselves and their faith from attacks; Hatred is said to be on the rise. .

This is not the first time there have been reports that Jews living in Germany feel threatened.

As Breitbart News reported, just 12 months ago, some Jews in Berlin, in the wake of atrocities by Adolf Hitler and his Nazi sympathizers and subsequent promises of “never again,” were forced to think about problems that many thought unthinkable. ” — Is it time to leave Germany?

A rise in anti-Semitism appears to be once again casting a shadow over the city, and the fear was clear from the testimonies of scores of Jews in the capital worried about the future of themselves and their families.

According to the Interior Ministry, Germany has the third largest Jewish community in Europe.

The Central Council of Jews in Germany estimates the number of Jewish believers in the country to be around 100,000 and the number of synagogues around 100.
