Suicide numbers remain stable near record highs: CDC
The number of suicides in the United States remained at near-all-time highs last year, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Preliminary data shows just over 49,300 suicide deaths will be reported in 2023, but that number could rise once the study is complete. The CDC announced that suicide was the 11th leading cause of death among all age groups in the United States in 2021 and 2022.
