The latest poll shows Vice President Harris leading former President Trump in a key constituency in Nebraska.
In a CNN investigation, Conducted by SSRSFifty-three percent of voters in the Cornhusker state's 2nd Congressional District, represented by Rep. Don Bacon (R), said they would vote for Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D). , voters turned out to be 42 percent. Trump and his running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio).

When asked what issues are most important to voters in Nebraska's 2nd Congressional District, which covers most of Omaha, 33% said the economy, 26% said protecting democracy, and 19% said abortion and reproductive rights. .
When asked who they trust more when it comes to managing the economy, Trump had an approval rating of 46% compared to Harris' 45%. When it comes to defending democracy, Harris leads Trump 51% to 37%.
The poll also found the vice president had a 54% to 33% advantage over President Trump on abortion and reproductive rights issues in the district.
The survey also found that 91% of respondents said Trump's views were extreme enough to pose a threat to the nation, while 9% said they were not so extreme. The numbers were similar for Harris, with 90% saying her views were extreme enough to be threatening, compared to 10% saying they were not.
The state's Republican Party has called on election officials to update to a winner-take-all system, but 60% of voters in the district said they wanted to keep the current system of drawing electoral votes.
The remaining 40% supported this update, which would likely have added electoral votes to President Trump's tally. The vote could have been crucial, as one plausible path to the presidential race would have Ms. Harris receiving exactly 270 electoral votes.
The CNN survey was conducted online and by phone from September 20-25 among 749 likely voters in Nebraska's 2nd Congressional District. The margin of error was 4 percentage points at a 95% confidence level.
