Angel moms said Friday they haven't heard from Vice President Kamala Harris after their children were killed by illegal aliens or poisoned with fentanyl, but if they spoke to Ms. He said he plans to speak to Harris if he has the chance.
Mothers of three, Patti Morin, Alexis Nangarei and Ann Fundner, spoke heartbroken at a Donald Trump campaign press conference Friday as Harris visited the Southwest border for the first time in more than three years. He talked about his experiences.
Patti's daughter Rachel Morin, a 37-year-old mother of five, was allegedly murdered by members of the illegal MS-13 gang in the United States last summer. As reported by Breitbart News, on August 5, 2023, Rachel went for a walk on the Ma & Pa Heritage Trail in Harford County, Maryland, but did not return home and was unable to return to her home the next day. The body was recovered on the side of the trail. Prosecutors allege that Salvadoran national Victor Antonio Martinez Hernandez, 23, raped, beat and strangled Rachel to death. The Tulsa Police Department arrested Martinez Hernandez in connection with Rachel's murder in June 2024.
Alexis' 12-year-old daughter, Joselyn Nungaray, was allegedly murdered in June 2024 in Houston by Venezuelan nationals Jose Martínez Rangel, 22, and Franklin Peña, 26. Alexis said Jocelyn was buying soda at a nearby corner store. According to authorities, Jocelyn was lured under a bridge, abused and killed, and her body was found the next day in a shallow stream. Authorities said Jocelyn was strangled to death, and when her body was recovered the next day, she was found without any pants on.
Alexis said Friday that Border Patrol arrested both men separately in El Paso several months before Jocelyn's murder.
Ann Fundner's 15-year-old son, Weston, died of fentanyl poisoning in Orange County, California, in February 2022. Under peer pressure, Weston ingested a substance given to him by another person. Fundner said he was told it wasn't fentanyl, and tragically his father found his body the next day.
When a reporter asked on Friday if Ms. Harris had contacted any of them, the angel moms said she had not. Breitbart News then asked them what they would say if they could talk to Harris.
“I would tell her to put all the border security back in place and for her and the president to do that.” [Joe] Biden stopped in his first 100 days,” Morin said. “Please put border security back in place and start deporting people here in our country.”
“We have hundreds of thousands of missing migrants in our country, and we don't even know where they are. Round them up, deport them, keep them in their country, properly test them, and then… We need to allow that,” she added. “That's the only way we're going to get America back safe. If we don't do that and these people stay here and we don't know where they are, we're going to have years of chaos.”
Nungarai said she would ask Harris how much effort he would give to border security if someone he loved was killed.
“I want to ask her what effort she would make if this were her child, her niece, her sister,” Nungarai said.
“Would she only do that if it was someone important to her? Because in our eyes it seems like we don't matter. And she's shown that throughout this campaign. “I'm here,” she added.
Nungarai believes Harris' sudden focus on the border is disingenuous.
“She came out of nowhere over the last 30 to 40 days and tried to make some kind of effort, and it wasn't really an effort at all. It's very sad, very shameful, very shameful. “It's inhumane,” she said.
Mr. Fundner said he plans to tell Ms. Harris that the renewed interest in the border is “too little too late,” but Mr. Fundner said it's “all about campaigning.”
“In my opinion, this is all for campaigning,” she said. “And I say she's been slow to come to the table on this issue. At any time, she can do something. She's bringing back Remain in Mexico, which is an incredible Trump policy.” She could bring back all border policies, as I said earlier, but she doesn't.”
“Instead, she's standing at the border and now, three and a half years later, she's pretending she's going to do something as a border emperor. And you call her a border emperor, a dignitary, a border chief.” You can call her that, in fact, she was appointed by President Biden in March 2021 and tweeted about it,” Fandner added. .
“What I would say to her is that she is too late, because we are choosing a president who has proven he will keep America safe, and that is President Donald Trump,” she continued.
