Vice President Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D), will take a bus tour through central Pennsylvania next week, the campaign announced Saturday.
Wednesday's visit to the key battleground state of Pennsylvania underscored the Harris campaign's focus on winning the Keystone State. The bus tour will make multiple stops to talk to voters and will be the first time the two Democrats have campaigned together in central Pennsylvania.
The Keystone State is considered one of the most important battleground states in the 2024 presidential election, receiving 19 Electoral College votes.
Former President Trump and Harris are almost evenly matched in the state, with Harris leading Trump by 1.3 percentage points, 49.2% to 47.9%, according to a Hill/Decision Desk headquarters poll.
Last month, Harris and Walz embarked on a bus tour of southeast Georgia, another key state to winning this cycle. That trip took them to more rural parts of the Peach State, but they stopped at a high school and spoke to students before ending in Savannah, Georgia, for a rally.
The Harris campaign also launched a bus tour focused on reproductive rights, which included representatives including Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff and Minnesota First Lady Gwen Walz. It began in Trump's hometown of Palm Beach, Florida.
