Trump threw merchandise at fans, many of whom chanted “USA” as he entered the stadium.

Mr. Trump also received a huge ovation when he appeared on the jumbotron.

Last year, he attended games between Iowa and Iowa State and Clemson and South Carolina. He also attended a game against Alabama in 2019.

Vice President Kamala Harris reportedly set up a banner trolling Trump during the game.

The Washington Post reported Saturday that a plane carrying the message “President Trump punts on 2nd debate” is expected to fly over the stadium during the prime-time game.

Alabama defeated Georgia 27-24 in last season's SEC title game. The Crimson Tide entered the College Football Playoff as the No. 4 seed, defeating No. 1 Georgia, which had won 42 of 43 games. History appears to be repeating itself after Alabama took a 21-0 lead in the first quarter.
