WAKE COUNTY, N.C. – Residents in key North Carolina districts say they are hearing from both Republicans and Democrats on the ground in the battleground state just weeks before the 2024 presidential election.

Fox News Digital spoke to residents of Wake County, North Carolina. The county is a densely populated district that could determine how the state votes in the presidential election. The district has voted for Democratic candidates in the past four presidential elections, but voted Republican in both 2004 and 2000.

After speaking with voters, it appears that no matter which party they're registered with, they've been approached via phone calls or text messages, but overall, each resident has received some form of support from a political campaign this term. I remembered.

Cameron Wilson, a senior at North Carolina State University, said he believes the Harris campaign has a stronger presence in Raleigh, North Carolina, but added, “Among college students, President Trump is definitely kicking her ass.”

When asked how they thought their district would vote in November, residents were confused, but most said they expected to vote for the Democratic candidate.

“I'm going to be deep blue, but it's definitely not the same margin as the last election,” Wilson said of the district's vote tally.

“I don't think this area around Chapel Hill, Duke, North Carolina State University is that liberal. But I think it's probably leaning more towards one side or the other,” Zach Karagias told Fox News Digital. “I think Kamala is going to take bad taxes from us. I think Trump is going to try to help us.”

Another, Julia, said: “All my friends and colleagues say I'm definitely a Democrat, but it's hard.”

Republicans and Democrats are conducting large-scale campaigns to win votes in North Carolina, a historic battleground state. Fox News Digital interviewed North Carolina Republicans and Democrats, and both parties said they expect to reach more than 1 million voters through canvassing, phone calls, text messages and other get-out-the-vote efforts.

“I'm getting tons of automated messages every day asking me to vote for Trump,” resident Evan Davis said. “It's non-stop.”

“I signed up for some emails to Trump, but that's about it,” Karagias said.

“I saw so many Mark Robinson signs the other day, and then I saw some Kamala signs,” Wilson added. He said most of the messages come from the Trump campaign, but he still receives “some left-leaning stuff.”

Julia Smith told Fox: “I've gotten some text messages from Kamala Harris herself. I haven't gotten a phone call yet.”

Asked which faction has a stronger presence in the district, she said: “I can't say.” “What I'm consuming is more Democratic.”
