Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance are scheduled to take the stage for Tuesday's debate, the only debate between vice presidential candidates in the final stages of the election. There is a high possibility that it will.
The vice presidential debate will be moderated by “CBS Evening News” anchor and editor-in-chief Norah O'Donnell and “Face the Nation” moderator Margaret Brennan, and will be held on Tuesday, October 1 at 9:00 p.m. ET. Ru. CBS News will host the debate, with coverage beginning at 8 p.m. ET.

Like previous presidential debates, the vice presidential debate will be held behind closed doors and is scheduled to last 90 minutes, with two four-minute breaks between the candidates.

Closing statements are scheduled to last two minutes, but after a coin toss last week, it was decided that Mr. Vance would be the last to address voters.
Each candidate will have a pen, paper pad, and bottle of water on stage, but will not be able to take questions in advance. Campaign staff are not allowed to interact with either candidate during breaks, and microphones are not automatically muted, but can be muted at the moderator's discretion.
