On September 8, the second anniversary of the Queen's death, Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, 77, were spotted heading to a church service in the village of Crathy. His eldest son, Prince William, and his wife, Duchess Kate, were also in attendance. This was the Princess of Wales' first public appearance since announcing she had completed chemotherapy.

Previously, the king's second son Prince Harry wrote about his visit to Balmoral in his 2023 memoir Spare.
