The celebration was held at the Mets' clubhouse.

The Amazons defeated the Braves 8-7 in a thrilling come-from-behind victory in Game 1, clinching their second postseason berth in three seasons and finally enjoying the fruits of their labor over plenty of champagne, beer, and cigars. I was able to enjoy it. Doubleheader at Trust Park on Monday.

Winning a head-to-head tiebreaker with last year's National League championship team was enough for them to win 89 games and defeat the Arizona Diamondbacks to qualify.

It was a special day for the players on the 2022 Mets team. The team only toasted with champagne after winning the postseason, but decided to save a full-fledged celebration for the National League East championship, which never happened.

In the end, the Braves won the title after a tiebreaker with both teams winning 101 games.

These Mets exorcised those demons a bit, coming back from a 3-0 deficit to win Game 1, 7-6.

The Amazons were leading 6-3 in the bottom of the eighth inning when Brandon Nimmo's three-run home run scored six runs.

However, the combination of Phil Mayton and Edwin Diaz allowed the Braves four runs in the bottom of the frame, but Francisco Lindor hit a two-run homer in the top of the ninth inning, giving the Mets the lead from a good position.

After coach Carlos Mendoza addressed the team, Lindor was doused with a large amount of foam. Brandom Nimmo was also seen giving owner Steve Cohen and his family a champagne spray.
