“Shazam!” star Zachary Levi formally endorsed former President Trump at an event in Michigan on Saturday, saying doing so could mean “career suicide.”
Levi, who has been outspoken in his support for former independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in the 2024 election, moderated a panel discussion with Kennedy and former Democratic Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii. expressed support in advance.
Levi portrays the 2024 race as a choice between two options and credits two public officials with galvanizing his support for Trump.
“I support Bobby, I support Tulsi, I support everyone else who supports President Trump,” the Hollywood actor said.
“Because of the two choices we have, and we only have two, Donald Trump, President Trump, is the man who can get us there. Because I believe that,” Levi continued. “And he has the backing, support, wisdom, knowledge and fight of Robert Kennedy Jr. and former Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard to get us there.”
Levi, who stars in the title role of a superhero movie, admitted he is one of the few Hollywood actors to support the Republican candidate.
“When I came out and said I supported President Trump through my support of Tulsi and Bobby, the messages I received… were actually 90 percent very nice and supportive. And I I really appreciate that,” Levi said in his speech. Panel discussion ended.
“But I say,” Levi added. “Within my industry, as you can probably imagine, Hollywood is a very, very liberal city, and this could very well amount to career suicide.”
