Since the start of the war, the Israel Defense Forces have carried out dozens of targeted operations near Lebanon's southern border in an effort to dismantle Hezbollah's terrorist capabilities and infrastructure that pose a threat to Israeli civilian communities in northern Israel.
Based on the instructions of the Northern Command and precise information from the Intelligence Directorate (J2), Israeli Defense Force units conducted targeted operations against Hezbollah combat facilities in southern Lebanon. These operations were carried out to dismantle Hezbollah's Radwan forces and prevent them from carrying out their October 7th-style “Conquest of Galilee” plan to invade northern Israel.
Soldiers identified and penetrated underground access points near the border, exposing extensive weapons caches and gathering points for terrorist operations. During these operations, the military also collected valuable intelligence and systematically dismantled underground infrastructure and weapons and compounds, including advanced weapons of Iranian origin.
The military also discovered and destroyed underground infrastructure, attacking thousands of targets and hundreds of weapons storage facilities, large amounts of explosives, and hundreds of residential areas, including operatives and command centers. Some of the weapons were recovered and taken back to Israeli territory by soldiers.
The IDF continues to work to degrade Hezbollah's capabilities and infrastructure and keep Hezbollah away from border areas so that northerners can safely return to their homes.
A few hours ago, Hagari posted an additional video in English for international media.
