During a 2014 Congressional hearing, then-Rep. Tim Walz (D-Minnesota) boasted that he was in Hong Kong at the time of the 1989 Tiananmen Square massacre.
There’s just one problem…
He wasn't.
He was in Nebraska at the time.
Here he (once again) brags about things that aren't true.
When I was young, I was in Hong Kong in May of 1989, just planning to teach high school in Foshan City, Guangdong Province. And as events unfolded, some of us went inside. And I still remember the station in Hong Kong. I think a lot of people, especially in Europe, were very angry that we were still pursuing what happened, but my belief at the time was that diplomacy was going to be done at different levels. Ta. Certainly, the people and the opportunity to attend a Chinese high school at such an important time seemed really important to me. And it was a very interesting summer to say the least.

“Contemporary news reports indicate that Walz was touring a National Guard warehouse in Alliance, Nebraska, in May 1989.” report Washington Free Beacon. “They show that Waltz did not leave the United States until August of that year, at least two months after the Tiananmen Square massacre ended the student movement.”
As the Beacon points out, the far-left NPR uncovered the lie, but of course the taxpayer-funded welfare queens were buried. underneath it Approximately 30 paragraphs:
Walz has also said that he was in Hong Kong in May 1989 during the student uprising that culminated in the Tiananmen Square massacre, but this claim is untrue by newspaper articles from the time. …The campaign was unable to produce documentation to support Walz's statement that he was there during the insurrection.
The Beacon also reported that left-wing news organizations new york times They reprinted Waltz's selfish lies about the Tiananmen incident without checking the facts. It's called dictation instead of doing journalism.
Listen, being in Hong Kong during a historical event like Tiananmen Square is not something to forget or misremember. We all know where we were on September 11, 2001. No, I remember where I was when I first saw those protesters trying to blockade the tank.
The only thing that would make Walz's latest lie even more complete would be to claim that Walz was working at a McDonald's in Hong Kong during the massacre.
What makes Kamala Harris' choice for vice president not a lie?
Although he never saw combat as a member of the Minnesota National Guard, he claimed to have carried a weapon in war. Walz lied about a 1995 DUI arrest — a misunderstanding due to Walz's hearing loss (probably from a fight he never participated in) and his lack of alcohol. But he was drinking. Blood test results showed an alcohol concentration of 0.128. For years, Walz has repeatedly claimed that he retired from the National Guard at a higher rank than he actually was.
This person is sick.
Tonight's vice presidential debate should be interesting. JD Vance is dynamite in this setting and has tons of ammo to attack this serial lying clown.
