October is shaping up to be an important month for token unlock events as the final quarter of the year begins.
A large number of tokens will be released in several major projects using Celestia. [TIA] Leading the way with massive unlocks worth over $1 billion.
Celestia Leads October Token Unlock Event
According to data from Unlocking the tokenCelestia's biggest token unlock event of the month is scheduled for September 30th.
A total of 175.56 million TIA tokens were unlocked, worth approximately $1.06 billion and 81.86% of the circulating supply. These tokens will be distributed to early backers, seed investors, and core contributors.
At the time of writing, TIA is trading around $5.66, reflecting a 2% increase after recovering from an 8% decline in the previous trading session. TIA's current market capitalization was $1.2 billion at the time of writing.

SUI unlocks over 60 million tokens
Sui [SUI] will kick off its October unlock event by releasing 64.19 million SUI tokens on October 1st. These tokens are valued at approximately $150 million and represent 2.4% of the circulating supply.
Also, as of this writing, SUI is up 5% to trade around $1.86, continuing its bullish trend. Analysis of the moving averages shows that a golden cross is imminent, further supporting the upward momentum.

Aptos unlocks 11.31 million tokens
Aptos [APT] This is another major project with upcoming token unlocks. On October 11, 11.31 million APT tokens worth $91 million were unlocked, representing 2.25% of the circulating supply.
At the time of writing, APT was trading at $8.10, up 6% on strong bullish momentum. Its market capitalization exceeded $4.1 billion.

Other upcoming tokens unlocked
Other notable token unlocks in October include those from ZetaChain. On October 1st, $38.59 million of tokens were unlocked, representing 13.43% of the circulating supply.
Additionally, $58.78 million worth of tokens were unlocked by Immutable X on October 4th, accounting for 2.02% of its circulating supply.
Taiko will release 12 million tokens worth $23.4 million on October 14, representing 15.7% of its circulating supply.
