The WWE women's division is at an all-time high with Liv Morgan and Nia Jax retaining the singles titles and Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair retaining the tag team gold.
There has been discussion for over a year about adding another championship to the mix of mid-card players, as there is a lot of talent on the roster. The belt will be similar to the men's roster for the Intercontinental Championship or the United States Championship.

In fact, NXT introduced a similar belt at the North American Championship in June. Kehlani Jordan won the title in a six-woman ladder match at Battleground.

Rumors have been swirling for months about a mid-card belt being added to the women's main roster.
WWE star Drew McIntyre, who is preparing to face CM Punk this weekend inside Hell in a Cell at Bad Blood, says the situation is “totally justified.” Agreed.
“That's certainly something that's going to happen in the near future,” McIntyre told Fox News Digital in a recent interview. “And you don't just bring a title to bring a title, (especially) when you don't have enough depth on the roster. But look at how far the women's revolution has gone now. That's what the revolution is like.” It's a distant memory now. Women have been killing it for years now. ”
McIntyre recalled that when she first joined WWE's main roster, the women's division was a far cry from how it is now. Since the women's revolution in the company, female wrestlers have been paid the highest on some fight cards. WrestleMania 35 in 2019 was headlined by Ronda Rousey, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte Flair.

“And they got that opportunity years ago and since then so many people have come on board, and it's gotten to the point where it's not that they want to follow the women's game, they don't want to. “I don't follow the women's matches anymore because they're going to come out there and they're going to kill it and the crowd is going to burn out and we're going to have to work really hard to get them.” Mr Taia added.
“You see the talent pool grow, the depth of the roster grows, and more importantly, the characters connect with the audience because if they don't care about you, you're a man. Because it doesn't matter if you're a woman or not. No one has any empathy for you. You're better off not going out and just sitting in the back. There are so many characters in the women's division. Even if a second title is introduced, it is at a stage where it is completely justified.
Zelina Vega told Fox News Digital last year that she hopes a mid-card belt is in her sights and that winning another title would be “beneficial.”

NXT commentator Booker T also added his voice to the mid-card women's title win last year.
“It's like a TV championship that doesn't compete with the Women's NXT Championship, and it gives someone else a little bit of excitement and shine, but women should also have a mid-card belt.” Working towards that larger goal. “It always takes time,” he said.
