The Mets brought in a big weapon in Game 2.
Owner Steve Cohen was sitting in first-class seats behind home plate at American Family Field with former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.
This will be Christie's second straight appearance in the Wild Card Series after the Mets won Game 1 of the Wild Card on Tuesday.
He even appeared on TV, as he made headlines when Pete Alonso stumbled in the first inning.
That was after ESPN's Mike picked up his “Atta Boy!” and made himself famous in the series opener. Mets starting pitcher Luis Severino pitches during his second at-bat against Milwaukee's Jackson Ciorio.
This look couldn't help but be noticed by Stephen A. Smith. Christy yelled. on “First Take” Wednesday.

“By the way, I have to reach out to my friend, former Gov. Chris Christie, who was sitting right behind home plate last night,” Smith said.
The former governor has many ties to Amazine, with his son Andrew working as an intern with the team in 2015.
Christie was also famously booed after catching a foul ball in a 2017 game, but Mets leadership did not share the bad feelings and added him to the team's board of directors in 2021.
